  • Vistulian and Holocene history of vegetation and climate in Central and Eastern Europe.
  • High-resolution palynological studies of annually laminated lake sediments.
  • Palynology of archaeological sites, long term perspective of anthropogenic impact on vegetation, development of the cultural landscape, fire activity and exploitation of wood resources in relation to the settlement history.
